The Battle of Ares IX

"The Battle of Ares IX", resulted in the destruction of the UNN 3rd Fleet by the Martian First Fleet and would be the first battle of the Solar Wars.

The First planet to openly rebel on a mass scale was Mars, leading to many UN bases being taken over by Martians. In response, the United Nations sent the UNN 3rd Fleet to quell the uprising and a reserve attachment fleet to replace the UNN Martian fleet. However, the UN fleets would be instead decimated in a surprise attack by the Martian Fleet simultaneously being declared war on by the Martian government, proclaiming their independence. This battle would be known as "The Battle of Ares IX", leading to the destruction of the UNN 3rd Fleet and the start of the Solar Wars.
