Salt Flats

The Salt Flats are a wide open area in the northern part of Aux. It is south of the Thousand Eyes and north of the Sunken Towers, the Dry Tongues tribe claim it as their home.

Geography

It is a wide open area where the ground has roughly hexagon patterns of salt on it. From the centre a person cannot see the edge of the salt flats, and heat constantly shimmers above the surface during the day.

Fauna & Flora

There are a few rare crabs and invertibraes that live in the area. Hawks and other predatory birds will often fly overhead. In general there is very little life here.

Natural Resources

Salt for many places is gotten from here, when the Dry Tongues sell it or when groups are brave enough to attempt their own harvesting. Water is scarce and is usually the site of a nomad camp.
