The Great Plateau
Rising above the continent higher than anything but the mountains, the Great Plateau is the result of a long-ago, cataclysmic, volcanic eruption. The plateau's volcanic soil is rich; colorful grasslands cover the warm southern steppes, and fertile farmland fills the land along the banks of the rivers that run through the temperate middle, feeding the City-States.
Subregions
Fertile Lands
A bucolic land of pleasant rolling hills interspersed with Halfling farms growing all manner of crops, the Fertile Lands supply food and other plants to the City-States Region from along the banks of the broad rivers flowing towards the falls at the edge of the plateau.Wild Steppes
Drier than the rest of the Plateau, the Steppes host roving bands of Centaurs galloping across the land hunting herds of Stagbeasts (and occasionally raiding the less-prepared shires of the Fertile Lands).Il'yria
Known generally as the Northern Forest, Ily’ria is thought to be haunted and cursed, home to terrors that would chill your blood before devouring your soul. These legends are carefully nurtured by the forest’s true residents: the largest population of post-Exodus Elves on the continent.Landmarks
