1.3 Demise of the Faithful - Oh Mystery of Mine

General Summary

The party in their efforts to locate the missing people decided to get a job at the mines. They were quickly given jobs and were invited to a party hosted by Lord Diego that night. After a bit of investigation they got ready for the party and headed over to hopefully gain even more info.

The Mines

Upon learning a bit more about Lord Diego and the suspicious circumstances surrounding him the party began to suspect he has been forcing the missing people to work in his mines . As such they decided to get jobs in the mines themselves in hopes of finding the people, or at the very least a lead on what happened to them. Upon arriving they met the foreman, Hrothgar  , who unceremoniously gave them tools so they could begin working. When inquired about pay he told the party they could negotiate with Lord Diego himself at a party he was hosting later that night for his employees. The party then ventured into the mines and after a quick conversation with one of the workers in which they learned that the mine was originally owned by Lord Torix and the leftovers of his property were stored in boxes on the surface of the mine. Moreover they learn that a stray disc thrown by Hyacinth broke a window on Lord Diego's Estate.

One they heard this the party decided to divide and conquer. Paathio and Gorky actually did mining work to keep up the act of them wanting jobs, Azarik went to other portions of the mine to speak with other workers, and Rexis and Dart went to investigate the boxes containing Lord Torix's possessions. Azarik failed to find any evidence of the missing people being in the mines but did learn that Lord Diego is from the nation's capital city of Laven . He also managed to score a date with one of the workers, Teeree, for later that night at the party.

Meanwhile Dart and Rexis went back to the surface. While Rexis distracted Hrothgar, Dart opened up the boxes. Inside she mostly found old tools and signs, but she did notice an odd symbol on some of these banners and signs. She grabbed one to show the party as well as a couple of old tools for herself. Afterwards the party met back up and shared what they learned, they then traveled to the Diamond District to purchase outfits for the event at the end of the night.

The Diamond District

The party traveled to the fashion forward Diamond District to purchase some new clothes to wear at the end of the night. While there Azarik also purcahed a gift for Teeree.

The Van'Til Estate

After checking into the event the event the party began to do some mingling. Azarik met up with his date in the library and noticed she had picked up a book and was reading about Tymora, the goddess of fortune. On the same page was a depiction of a coin with its face side up. Simultaneously Dart was investigating the rooms of the estate themselves. In an old storage room she found the remains of a broken vase as well as old tapestries showing a coin with its face side up. She then went to the servants' quarters but unfortunately found nothing of interest.
