An interesting history/lore: certain 38 years ago there was another darkness demon that was transformed from human, that had plagued Sordelle (now Matis), and coincidentally she can raise undead, while she was a shapeshifter before becoming a darkness demon. She does not “quite” have the dark mind, except possibly becoming demented from the experiments performed on her(she is, indeed, the “accidental product” of Gray Fortress), thus she would appear more monstrous than either Astaroth or Rosalina.)
Okay so put it this way, you remember the second OOA run the character I have? That is something similar to what she looked like before turning into monster (and when young)

The concept I had was, there was a rebellion and she was lover with rebel leader, and once disguised as him to lure away enemy and got caught. She was pregnant (with Sandra’s father) at the time and was sent to be experimented on. Because she initially appeared as male due to disguise, and was treated as one during experiment, the data and results went wrong as a result of the unexpected reveal, but an evil scientist within the organization decided to continue to see what happens

And so the baby didn’t make it due to the effect of experiment but was kept intact by shear willpower, so he was taken from her womb to be further experimented on (meaning Sandra’s father was supposedly dead but was brought back by unholy means) this knowledge doesn’t go well with her and with the effect of the experiment she went mad and transformed into the monster (due to her shape shifting ability and supposed ‘dragonblood’ that goes with her lineage) and escaped the lab

To continue with that character… we’ll, the irony being, eventtually due to her wreck havoc in the region, the rebels decide to temporarily ally with the lords to put away the greater threat, and she was supposedly killed then, by her own husband. Realizing that, he also went mad, supposedly buried alive in the tomb as it collapses and became a vengeful spirit. In Hadefall an evil necromancer decided to revive Lillian as a means of vengeance but the ritual instead revived the husband whom then took over Lillian’s corpse and became a greater threat, which the heroes of the story eventually put down. That’s the gist of what I can remember
ok, wait so her base race is human. her class is Necromancer I suppose (for the undead rising). Where do the shapeshifting come from? An unique power? and what do you mean by dragonblood? is she half or 1/4 dragon?
Sure. Shapeshifter is before turning into monster, and necromancer afterwards
