War to change the rule of Kauton from religion to royal.
The Kauton Rule Conflict was a conflict between church and Kingdom in earlier Kauton over the ability to install high church officials in high positions of the court. The conflict led to nearly 50 years of civil war in Kauton. It began as a power struggle between High Priest Gregory and King Enry IV in 924 BAT. There was also a brief but significant struggle between High Priest Pascal II and King Henry Cleric of Matis from 897 to 893 BAT. The conflict ended in 878 BAT, when High Priest Callixtus II and King Enry V agreed on the Concordat of Wyrms, which differentiated between the royal and spiritual powers and gave the kings a limited role in selecting priests.
