Absolem Trott (AHB-sol-em trot)

Absolem Blutherz Laszlo of House Trott was a Noble mercenary commander of Trott's Marauders notorious for his bloodthirstiness.

Description

History

Absolem was born in Tahme, the second child of Duke Zenechar II of Tahme and his wife Emilia Margarete Elisabeth of House Bronton. From an early age, he was fascinated with breeding and training demigryphs and wardogs. He joined Trott's Marauders at the age of 14 as a cavalry captain, and warred across the Old World. In 2508, he was disinherited in favour of his older sister, Shalgrid, which enraged him. Absolem returned to Tahme where he was imprisoned and brutalised by Shalgrid until he accepted her dominance. In 2510, a somewhat pacified Absolem attended Altdorf University where he joined the League of Karl-Franz and was soon reknowned as one of its most violent members. He was extracted from university in 2512IC by his father to rejoin Trott's Marauders after the Ubersreik Annexation. Absolem publicly refused to acknowledge Shalgrid's claim to Tahme, and loudly boasted he was the Baron of Tahme in many courts across the Old World.

Personal Life

Absolem was forced to marry Lady Beatrice of House Havelfurt, a childhood friend and lover of Shalgrid, in 2510IC. The swapping of vows took place in the Tahmenschloss in the Duchy of Tahme in central Reikland. Absolem was not freed from cage he was kept in by Shalgrid for the ceremony. In 2511IC, Beatrice gave birth to a son, Zenechar Reikhardt, in the Tahmenschloss. Absolem has yet to see his son.

Appearance

Absolem was a giant of a man, easily over 7ft tall when he stood straight. However, he typically stooped with his mighty shoulders rolled, his neck sunk deep into his chest, and his scarred, bald head scowling forward. His barrel chest loomed over most of those foolish enough to draw too close. His oaklike legs were bowed from riding demigryphs since childhood, and his arms were, if anything, even thicker. Absolem had his mother's bright blue eyes and hands big enough to wrap around most men's thighs. His face is worn and lined from over two decades of constant abuse, exposure, and warfare.

Absolem was an NPC originally created by Andy Law for The Enemy Within. He was a long-established NPC in many of Andy's WFRP games, and was once represented with a conversion based upon the Mighty Zug miniature for Blood Bowl. Andy had the character added to Ubersreik Adventures II when he was WFRP's producer.
