S24. Will Slay Dragons For Food Report
General Summary
6 Uktar 1492
The morning after escaping the Necropolis Shard the party meets for breakfast and then tours the town catching up on business, shopping, rumors, and more. They decide to head out of town to take supplies to Wester's Loggers' Camp and take a route that skirts the western edge of Neverwinter Wood.
They stay the night at the southwest edge of the wood and before mid-day they encounter a centaur named Xanth who warns them of witchlights at night by the Dragon Barrow, and gives a little more info about the orcs and orc-spellcasters that seem to frequent a hill about 40 miles deep into the Wood to the east.
The party finds the Barrow and pass it by to come back to it later on their way back from the Camp. The come within several miles of an interesting small forttress called Helm's Hold. Keth warns the party away from casual visits to there, and they keep going north. Just short of the ruins of Thundertree, the party camps again, and are attacked early in the night by 4 burnt zombies. The fight begins with Wolfaen trying to hold them off with a Thunderwave, and blasting large amounts of ashes back behind them, but they kept their advance.
The rest of the group joined in, and beat those little buggers down whittle away at them until they finally kick their ashes for good.
The next day, 7 Uktar, they prep to continue their way to the Camp and head out.

I think it's Uktar 6 now - and also of note: 3 out or 5 d12 rolls were 1s. Maybe after this session we should incorporate something about terrible luck into our party name.
