The Breaker of Chains is an enigmatic spiritual entity associated with concepts of rebellion and revolution. Its true nature and capabilities are not widely known, though is appears to be capable of empowering the pacts of Hexblades. It is said that this was the entity called upon when Eikos Bheur, Giladd Silverbow and Zilyazi Suruk swore the The Oath of Undoing at Lith Kala which shattered the Web of Geasa and ultimately contributed to the collapse of the Empire of Kataris; this pact is said to have been sworn with the aid of an entity associated with the deity Ormiel which dwelled in the Everbleeding Shrine at the heart of Lith Kala. The Breaker of Chains has historically been venerated by some in Lith Kala and further afield, and is also worshipped by the Clans of the Reaches. Some scholars believe that the Red Eye - another deity worshipped by the Clans of the Reaches, associated with war and sacrifice - is another aspect of the Breaker of Chains, though the evidence for this is somewhat equivocal. The Breaker of Chains is somehow linked to a particular sword which was once in the possession of Zenith Giannis-Canthor of the Everstorm Covenant
