Teodesia Mettvergen
Human, born 1277AK. Daughter of Countess Osterhilde Mettvergen van Lyskan, who was at the time Emissary to the Dynast of Yualin. Educated there by Alderni and Yua tutors until the age of 14, when all foreign emissaries were expelled from Yualin following the rebellion of Mazayima. Married Lord-Scion Reinhardt Votellian in 1297 AK, and initiated into the Kriophonan Order of the Black Gate, of which her husband was also a devotee. With the sponsorship of the Kriophonian priesthood, attended the Academy of Gildenschloss to study licit necromancy, and conferred the grade of Adept in 1301 AK (thesis: "The Examination of Cadavers and Principles of Investigation: A Translation and Commentary" she served as assistant to the High Banisher and Chief Necroharuspex of the Tower until 1316AK, when the post of Necroharuspex was formally abolished; thereafter she was appointed Vice-Scholarch of Necromancy. Her husband was appointed Apertor of Kriophona in 1321AK, a position which he held until his death in 1339AK. She has two surviving children, Countess Alessia Mettvergen van Lyskan, and Lord-Scion Hildebald Mettvergen. Her research interests include forensic necromancy and comparative necrotheology.
