Sir Roy II, Grand Knight of Fidelis

Second of his name, Sir Roy is believed to be the offspring of what is rumored to be one of Herelin's next great bloodlines. His father was a renowned cosmicusmancer who ultimately gave his life in the novun raids. Sir Roy II was already revered and respected enough by the time of his father's death to be urged by the temple to assume to position of grand knight in Fidelis. Sir Roy II prospered in his office for many years before the temple visionaries came to him with the warning that creatures of darkness (later to be revealed were malevolent proselytes) were coming to corrupt his blood. Soon enough, monstrous armored figures awaited for him across the field from Fidelis, radiating their cold aura with such a strength that all temple could sense their presence. The challenge they were issuing was clear and Roy's honor hinged on answering that challenge. Sir Roy destroyed the twisted creatures in that battle, but tragically they had accomplished their true intentions. A blade with the malevolent corruption had cut him, infecting him with the plague. Eventually, Roy would be compelled by the plague to pursue the malevolent and advance their cause by taking the dead of wars under the guise of funeral ceremony and corrupting their bodies to be transformed into malevolent. His plans were so devious that it compelled forces from beyond to send visions to other heroes of far away lands to stop him and buy time for the chosen hero to arrive to Ferrathar. These heroes would ultimately complete their mission and bring about the death of Roy II.
