Because of the ongoing war from three of the linish kingdoms, the theocracy reinstates slavery for linish that are only from captured from war.

After constant defeat the Erlin alliance still gave no sign of backing down from it’s radical cause and the public executions may have appeased the citizens of Herelin but did little to dissuade their enemies. The temple issued a new and convenient “deterrant”: all captured linish in the war would be condemned to a lifetime of slavery. This has mostly remained from linish from the alliance that consisted of the three kingdoms: Greenfield, Emerald pass and Fogpeak.
