Sir Bar
Sir Bar ap Caradoc (a.k.a. "The Tall")
Slow-witted might not be the worst thing that they call Sir Bar. But it's the only thing they dare to say to his face.
Bar's father is the illustrious Sir Caradoc the 13th, the most famous of all Uther's household knights, a man they say decend from the line of the legendary King of the Silures.
His mother was a bastard sister of Lord Roderick, who Sir Caradoc took by force during the reign of Vortigern. Some say that's why Bar is so dim, yet the heritage of the immense Sir Caradoc does not lie, as Bar is as immense as his sire and built as if he was the very walls of Carlion. It is said that he once impaled a Saxon with his last spear, and then lifted the wretch off the ground and used the corpse as a cudgel against the rest of them.
These days, Sir Bar is renowned for his deeds across Salisbury, at Mearcred Creek, at sea and in Frankland; he has even been given leave to marry his sweetheart by many years, the merchant daughter Gwynne and had a son in the year 489. The three of them live on the manor of Ford, watching over his Lordship's possessions.
During the years of Anarchy, Bar fought many battles. Levcomagus, Summerland, Netley Marsh. He kept on fighting for Salisbury and his friends among the Knights.
