Sir Griffry ap Brynach
Sir Griffry is the headstrong firstborn son of Sir Brynach, the previous Constable of Salisbury.
He's a knight used to having his way as he expected to succeed his now-deceased father as the Constable of Sarum, only to be shoved aside by the foreign, yet heroic Sir Reccared.
He has a reputation of a dishonest knave, something the local priests have kept Lady Ellen aware of, which caused her to avoid Griffry as the defender of the northern frontier, as Brynach is on good terms with many of the Gentian knights to the north. Yet, the very same connections have made him well suited to keeping tabs on the events in the Gentian lands to the north of Salisbury.
In spite of his faults, Griffry is still a quite skilled knight, as good with horses as his father was.
However, in the year of 501, Griffry allied with Gentians, Sir Bedo and an unknown part to capture Borders and try to topple Salisbury in the name of King Cerdic. He was foiled as Sir Ninian the Shirtless returned from the north with mercenaries in tow. Griffry died fighting against Leander de Toulouse , his former castellan.
