The Empire of Kheldor
The home of Olyxendir II and supreme military power in Astraea, Kheldor's existence has touched the lives of many and often not for the better. Originally centered in a small arid landscape rife with drakes, dragons, and every draconic cousin under its blistering sun, the early Kheldori took to dragonslaying not as a sport but as the only means of survival. Chromatic Dragon lords were felled by Kheldor armies, metallic dragons often made companions and allies, the Kheldori only grew stronger and more advanced as the years went by.
After claiming territories of their own from the dragons, the cultural and national focus shifted towards other targets. Towns, cities, and nations the world over have gone through periods of Kheldori occupation, besiegement, and outright war. Most recently, the Far Eastern Invasion of 2501 resolved with the Blades of a New Dawn cutting the head off the snake, campaign general Rastar Mehradi, but not before one of Mehradi's men slew Herlfyr Bhaldfryss at his command.
In the wake of the failed invasion, returned son and rightful ruler of Kheldor - Ardeo III - took his seat upon the throne after being freed from the Phantom Palace of Guanxi To by the Blades of a New Dawn. Alongside them, King Ardeo III was an instrumental figure in the Void Resurgence of 2501.
