Criminal Activity
Doh'garus was the only nation to maintain a firm grip on the Children of the Eternals, and managed to keep their activity to a minimum. Even then, this cult finds a way to rise. But, they don't know exactly who they strike at now.
Skolas Zareth was a draconin bard in the nation, Doh'garus. His style was fairly traditional. He'd play at taverns, inns, bars, and pubs to support his growing family. His wife was with child, and due any day. On one quite fun night, he returned home to souds of struggle. He never left home without his long sword. He drew his sword, and charged in so see a couple dark figures take his wife out the back entrence. He pursued as fast as he could, but he was always one corner behind them. They weaved through the town, and eventually to a underground lair. Skolas now knew, he was dealing with the Children of the Eternals. He still pursued. The dark figures led him to an opening, where they bound Skolas' wife to an alter. They formed a dark magic bubble around the gathering. As hard as Skolas tried, he couldn't break the shield. He was forced to watch as his wife, and unborn child were brutally killed, and sacrificed to the Eternals, along a dozen others. Only rage, and a longing for vengence lived in his mind. He channeled that rage into a few things. First, he made a new lute that was as long as he was tall, and gave it axe blades coming out the sides of its body. It had all the strength of a normal axe, and all the musical sound of a normal lute. He poured his rage into his music. Using illusory magic that comes with being a bard, he applied a sort of filter to his lute, and voice, giving both a magical, and angry intensity. Those who heard his vengeful music called it Battle Tone. He addopted a new name for fna, or cultist to know him by. "Firebrand." He poured his longing for vengence into a prayer to Horoth. He swore never to refuse a call to arms, and to ensure that what happened to him, never happens to anyone ever again. Horoth found Skolas worthy, and granted him divine magic which he would use to smite his foes. He bacame a templar of Horoth. Horoth himself came to Skolas and told him that he is now Horoth's judge, and executioner. Skolas' mission, to rout out, and destroy this cult anywhere it may hide in Doh'garus. Skolas' first target was the cult district in his home town. With his battle tone playing as he attacked, he weaved Horoth's divine power into a divine flame that engulfed his axe. He lay waste to the district with little effort. Before he incinerated the last cultist, he managed to interrogate the location of another cult lair nearby. Raid, after raid, he would do as he promised. He would find, and destroy every den of sin in which this foul gathering occours. Even today, Skolas wages his war against the cult scum. He has kept his promise to Horoth, and has never once refused a call to arms, and has spent his days routing out, and destroying every singe cultist in every single city, town, and village, playing his battle tone at every tavern he enters.
