Aurora, and the cult in Heodar

Criminal Activity

The cult has been slowly festering within Heodars hidden corners for some time. Slowly preping for one massive strike. The City of the Dawn is their first target. Luckily, Heodar's guard has a sorceress in their ranks.

A sorceress named Aurora Rend was in the ranks of Heodar's military, and her power allowed her to climb the ranks to where she has direct contact with the royal family, and the king's second daughter was her best friend.   Recently, the royal family had told her of several disapearences amog the common people. In particular, within the City of the Dawn. She thought very little of this, until her best friend went missing in a similar fassion. Aurora watched the event unfold, but was unable to do anything, as Aurora still did not know the full extent of her power, and did not want to accidentally harm her friend.   She told her king how the cult, Children of the Eternals was to blame. The king assigned the aspiring templar, Aryas Derther to assist her in stopping this cult. He specialized in sword, and shield combat, and would be of great use to Aurora, especially if he unlocks Deos' power. Aurora could tell, she'd need the help.   They both had little time. They need to find where this cult is hiding, and fast. False lead, after false lead seemed to only drive them further from this cults lair. However, one day, they caught a break, and found a member of the cult. As they were about to interrogate the man, his years were rapidly stripped away, and his flesh melted off his bones. Luckily, the man was carrying an adress that led Aurora, and Aryas to the cult's lair.   Suprise met them, as every missing person was at the gathering, not as cultists, but as soon-to-be sacrifices. They were in the middle of freeing the prisoners when the cult discovered them. Aurora unleashed her magic upon her foes, and aryas fought hard with sword, and shield. Quickly, Aurora spent the last of her arcane reservoir, and was forced to use her own sword instead. She, and Aryas were quickly getting overwhelmed. Aryas called on Deos one last time, and this time, he answered.   Divine magic filled the room, and cleared the way for Aurora to free the last of the prisoners, including the king's daughter. The cult had been foiled, but not destroyed, and now Heodar was at war with this cult. The streets were no longer safe.
