As the Brimbarians explored the surface of the Old World, there was no one to explore that which lied beneath. Deos' next creation would serve this purpose.
For a thousand years, the Brimbarians would explore, create, and innovate. However, their domain seemed to be exclusively above the surface. They knew not what lied beneath, nor did they care. Their connection to the surface's arcane magic was too strong. The last thing Deos wanted was to make his creation feel forced in their exploration. Instead, he would craft people from the stone that lied deep beneath the surface. This would give them an attachment to the stone, and give them a desire to be amongst it, within it. These beings often said that the comfort of being among stone was like the comfort, and safety of the mother's womb. In a sense, they're not wrong.
Deos gave them many of the same systems as the brimbaians, and draconin. He gave them the same desire to create music, and art. When they awoke, they called themselves "Dwarves." Just As Deos had intended when he made them from stone, they would get straight to digging, and exploring what lies beneath. They made massive, pillared halls with intricate carvings. They learned how to manipulate metal, and became masters of the forges, and of gem cutting.
They would carve the insides of mountains, and make great holds, fortresses, and palaces. They truly were masters of the stone.
