Dire String

This string sees little use, only in the Draconic Thunderbow for its raw strength, and tension. It is made of Theorium, spiralled arround normal bow string. Theorium's strength, and flexibility allows it to be used in this way. Any other string would snap under the fife hundred thirty pound draw.

Properties

Material Characteristics

It is a normal bow string, with all the properties thereof, but it has a siver, and blue metal wrapped around it, running up the string. If the holder is truly noble, the theorium spiral will glow blue.

Compounds

While standard bow string is the first piece of the material, a theorium spiral is needed to complete it. The spiral should wrap around the string tightly.

History & Usage

History

Historically, it has one use. That use being in the Draconic Thunderbow. It serves as the string for the extremely strong draw. This bow is the single most powerful bow in Eternity, and can only be such because of the incredible strength of the Dire String. Now, with war on the horizon between Doh'garus, and Fafnia, some are thinking giving it a semi-new use. That use being in balista companies.

Discovery

It was originally invented by an elven inventor, but was thought to be useless because it lacked the flexibility to be used in clothing. The draconin were the only ones with the strength needed to make use of its tension in the art of archery. Thus the Thunderbow was born.

Manufacturing & Products

Its only product is the thunderbow, which is only used by the Doh'garus archers.

Distribution

Trade & Market

It is sold by its few manufacturers to the Doh'garus counsel.

Civilian possession is illegal unless you are a supplier of the material.
