Creation of the Halflings

14000B.A.

As each of Deos' creations would rise, and live to their purpose, would explore, and do what they were made to do, there was nothing to unite them. That would be the purpose of Deos' next, and final creation.

Each of Deos' creations lived their purpose, and lived it well. However, this was a double-edged sword. With their devotion to their given tasks came a disregard of the other peoples. The extent of their interaction was in passing by, and simply meeting, and acknowledging the others' existence. There was nothing to unite them all, no reason to come under one house.
His next creation, he made from small bits of all the components that made all his previous creations. He gave this new creation some of the dragons' heart, giving them a passion that rivaled even the draconin. He used some of the Old World's magic, giving them an innocent curiosity. He made their flesh from stone, that they may be as hardy as the dwarves. Part dust, and soil so they would wish to work the grounds, and erect cities of their own. He gave them a small, non-threatening stature, and frame. Like the others, he gave them the ability to comprehend, and desire to create art and music.
When they awoke, they knew, and were prideful of the fact that they were small, and named themselves accordingly. They named themselves, Halflings. From the beginning, they felt a connection, a commonality between each of the peoples, and would become friend to all of them. Through this, the draconin, brimbarians, dwarves, and munren would interact with each other on their own accord, and called each other friend. The halflings quickly became a symbol of peace, and companionship between cultures. To have a halfling friend is to have something as close, and loyal as a sibling.
