The Blue Fort
The castle of Eldjföll, it is quite small and not very intimidating, but it was never the point of it.
Purpose / Function
Heart of the city, many interactions happen in the Fort, as most of it's courtyard is open to the city market. It is also the place where the breeding stables are held.
The Fort itself contains a total of 7 towers. In a tower separated from the walls and buildings, we find a library and observatory. In the closest tower, this one opening inside the courtyard, we find the the armory of the Blue Guard. 4 other towers are dedicated to housing members of the council on different floors, all with amazing views on the courtyard and city.
Inside the building itself, there are three floors: The first one contains the kitchens, the banquet, and a parlor where visitors are received. On the second floor, the Assembly Room where the Council assemble to vote laws and decide of the future of the country. In the third floor we access the living quarters of foreign ambassadors, professors and scholars. The dungeon, tallest tower contains the school on the first two floors, and the last floor is reserved for the Head of the council.

Contents & Furnishings
Most of the furniture of the fort is made in the same darkened wood used on the roofs, and looks short of details. Even if the craftsmanship is of a undeniable quality, it was clear that the furnishing was created with some amount of haste.
Alterations
Being fairly recent, most of the alterations where done when building the stables and joining the wall to those of the Fort. This building is less sturdy than most in the city, since it is included inside the courtyard and thus protected from bad weather.
Architecture
It is a very medieval style build, and could be dated of the Gothic era in our world. The wall are stone embedded together and so are the tower walls. The roofs are of a darkened wood, and so are the covers of the wall's walkways. The technique used to darken wood is a dye naturally found in a clay at the bottom of rivers nearby, namely the Dylvalinn River located one day ride tot he north of the city.
History
One of the first building to have risen from the ground at the arrival of the Eldjians on their land, it was in construction for very little time as it is a very light structure compared to other Forts. It isn't made for defense, but more for aesthetic purposes. The city wall however, event though it appears to be in the same style from the inside, is doubled by a thicker, sounder wall on the outside to ensure some sort of protection to the city, but it seems to be more targeted toward shielding the population from harsh weather and winds, rather than an army.
Founding Date
The construction began on the 28 of Prosperity, year 1435, and ended on the 11th of Joy, same year.
