Glotus Vine Proboslet

Designed after the common Glotus Vine that grow from breaks in the Pachdera Tree. While at first glance this proboslet worn by the Tarunan is just another accessory, it's use among the Tarun Resistance Forces should not be ignored.
Like all proboslets worn around the nose of the Tarunan, this accessory denotes a place among society, within a family. While a single Tarunan may wear multiple to denote postions of power or birth order, the wear of the Glotus Vine is always the same: First on, last off. According to what records of the Old Trumpets still remain, the Glotus Vine represents the first duty of the Old oral traditionalistsb to remember and teach. Many were great scholars and philosophers, their names and teachings still followed today.
This style of proboslet wraps around the wearer's trunk as a single piece of worked metal. Normally, two types of metal are used, traditionally a platinum base with a niobiom/copper alloy for the distinct 'tongue' of the Glotus. It is likely that newer constructs could include electrical components, such as communicators, like many modern proboslets contain. These are usually synced with Tarunan fitting Earlets equipped with micro-speakers.
After the Song Revolution, the Trumpets were rooted out of the larger Tarunan society and branded as dissidents against the governments. The wear of the Glotus Vine was deemed an act of terrorism^note and it's public wear became punishable by 12 years in prison. Of course, the difference between the Glotus Vine and several other types of generic proboslet are nearly miniscule, and as such no person has been tried for this crime.

Significance

The Glotus Vine design denotes members of a society of speakera amongst the Tarunan, a group thought to have disbanded sixty cycles ago.
