"I don't know about you but I could go for some sweetfish right now."
"Oh, come on. You've never even had it."
"All the more reason to eat it now."
A Dish Rarely Eaten
The person who first created sweetfish was
Greentail, the
lizardfolk chef of the
Harani. After the crew discovered the
sweetstones of the
Verdant Archipelago, they used them to supplement their meals.
The dish is fairly simple. The goo from the
sweetstone is heated in a dish with an assortment of herbs and spices and the
skyfish is added in and cooked. Given the viscous quality of the goo, the fish is served completely clean to make it easier - and enjoyable - to eat.
Future expeditions rarely use the
sweetstones for food because the ones they bring back are worth hefty sums of money. Despite this, the legend of the dish lives on in the stories and minds of
skysailors.

Which Fish?
There are many varieties of fish and many more varieties of
skyfish from which one could create sweetfish each with its own unique flavours and textures.
Skysailors insist that only
skyfish are suitable but have drunken arguements among themselves about which species of
skyfish best goes with the sweet goo of the
stone.
If I could try any dish with no obstacle, it would have to be sweetfish. Real sweetfish made from sweetstone. It carries a luxury price tag due to scarcity but the real reason is because it is the food of explorers.— Food Critic, Issue 4
