"Listen here children, far across the open skies there lies a land shrounded in mist. A place of exotic birds, colorful animals, and abundant plants.
Underneath all this beauty lies a hidden beast, a creature so large it could eat people, no, families by the dozen! They say that on this island be careful which mountains you step on for the mountains might step on you."
Mountainwalker
Ryza, captain of the
Harani was the first to discover evidence of the giant creature and she named it tarilusara - walking mountain. The first sign was a footprint like that of a bear but large enough for several adults to lay down in - comfortably, aside from the threatening size of whatever being created it. The second - more criticized - evidence is a claim from a member of the crew to have seen a mountain move during a storm. This was never confirmed but the rest of the crew believed them.
The Stories
There are many stories floating around from people who claim to have seen the tarilusara. These stories cannot all be true for each one contradicts the next. Some have large pointed teeth that close like a cage trapping animals inside the mouth. Others have rows and rows of teeth all the way down the throat like a creature of nightmares.
In many it is a malicious being that lives only to eat everything it can. In a few, it is a gentle giant that acts as a peacekeeper for the other wildlife of the
Verdant Archipelago.

But What Does it Eat?
For something of such incredible size, the walking mountain leaves very little evidence on the surrounding landscape and moves very quietly. So, if the landscape is untouched, what does it eat? If it is a walking mountain, are the trees a part of the organism? Do other animals mistake the mouth for a cave and walk to their demise?
"You expect me to believe you? You who fought off fourty pirates on your own, saved your crew, and escaped before more showed up?
Now this giant mountain of a beast from the farthest known reaches of the sky?
I didn't believe ya then, an' I certainly don' believe ya now. Got a great imagination on ya though."
