The Myth of the Monster

The first mention of the giant in history is The Tale of Toranti and Kaztora. It travels around Ratoghar to find food to sustain itself but it is too large and consumes too much. The Five Great Heroes are formed to stop it and when it is slain its blood becomes water and its body fertilizes the ground creating the fertile valley of Shavat Tur.
There is disagreement about what the giant looked like and what it could do. Some claim in was a giant lizardfolk, others that it was a fae. In most tellings it came to Ratoghar from the Void, thrown by an even larger creature, while some say it flew on its own wings.
