United Disc

The United Land

The key belief of the Forgers of the Strewn Sky is that when they solve the problems of the world and sing, they will unite all the islands of the sky into one great landmass free of suffering. In most depictions of this supercontinent, it is a perfectly circular disk. Artistic renditions often depict a great mountian in the center with the Cynosure Stone floating above the incredibly high peak. From this mountain run eight rivers, spread out perfectly around the land.   A common item across Breharan is a depiction of this land in the form of a small disc. Each one of these united discs may or may not also feature the eight rivers as straight lines from the center to the edge. Many have holes in them and are worn as necklaces. Sometimes buttons are carved to depict the eight rivers.   These discs are carried, worn, or displayed by almost all Forgers.

Metal or Wood

The most popular materials for united discs are metal and wood. Metal is quite rare and valuable on Breharan so these are only held by wealthy people and nobles, though many families have metal ones that are passed down through the generations.   Wood is by far the most common. These may not last as long as their metal counterparts but they are much cheaper to purchase, if not simply be made for free. They are also easy to work and wooden discs are more likely to feature the river engravings.
They say that for every round object, somebody somewhere has turned it into a united disc.
