Lantern

Lantern is a small secluded citadel deep in a gigantic forest. It is the largest manufacturer of Radiant Steel in the region, thanks to a building-sized lantern projecting large, stable portal to the Spirit Realm. Lantern continues into the otherworldly realm and has large soakfields of radiant steel.

History

In the aftermath of the World Death, the demand of radiant steel skyrocketed. The citizens of Lantern were able to broker a deal with the spirits for aid and guardianship of the radiant steel soakfields thanks to the help of an agent whose identity has been lost to time. However, time has run out on that deal, and the cost to produce radiant steel in Lantern is skyrocketing.
