Gnomish Player Character Attributes
Here are the attributes, the stats and game-rules for playing a gnomish characgter. Gnomes are Common Adventurers, so they will be well accepted in civilized lands, not looked at as unusual or unduly suspicious.
Gnomes reach maturity at around 60 years, and they can live 400 years or more, sometimes afforded prosthetics and other machines, magical or otherwise, to support them in their old age. They are rarely taller than 3 feet, weighing no more than 45 lbs. or so, classified as "Small." Gnomes all speak Gnomish and regional Common. (+1 Language for point of Intelligence modifying: Elven, Jotun, Goblin, Sylvan, etc.)

GNOMISH ATTRUBITES for PF2e
- Common Backgrounds: Animal Whisperer, Artisan, Entertainer, Herbalist, Tinker
- Hit Points: 8
- Speed 25'
- Ability Boosts: Con, Cha, Free
- Ability Flaw: Str
- Low-Light Vision
- Any Heritage Except "Umbral" (For which see: Svirfneblin, "Deep Gnomes" OR Svirfneblin Player Character Attributes)
- Ancestry Feats as any GNOME (see p.44).
ATTRIBUTES FOR D and D, 3.5
- +2 Con, -2 Str
- Small Size: +1 to Armor Class; +4 to Hide Checks, but must use Small weapons
- Speed 20'
- Low-Light Vision
- Weapon Familiarity: Hooked Hammers as martial weapons (not exotic)
- +2 saves against Illusions
- +1 to DC against all illusion spells cast by gnomes
- +1 attacks vs. Trolls and Goblins
- +4 dodge bonus vs. giant-types (trolls, orgres, giants, etc.)
- +2 to Listen checks
- +2 to Craft (alchemy)
- Speak with a burrowing mammal, 1x/day for one minutes, as with the Speak with Animals spell (p.281 of Players Handbook, write down effects!)
- Favored Class: Bard
Spell-like Abilities
With a charisma score of at least 10, the gnome can cast (1x/day) (Caster lvl 1st: Save DC 10 + Cha modifier)... take down a few notes about these:
- Dancing Lights (p.216, player's handbook)
- Ghost Sound (p. 235)
- Prestidigitation (p. 264)

Choose a Rock or Forest Gnome: ROCK GNOME:- +1 Con, +2 Int
- Speed 25'
- Darkvision 60'
- Advantage against on all Wisdom, Intelligence, and Charisma saving throws against magic
- Making an Int (History) check for magic, alchemical, or technological items, add twice your proficiency bonus
- Artisan/Tinker's Tools: Proficiency... Spend one hour and 10gp worth of materials to create a little clockwork-type item, which ceases working after 24 hours, or when dismantled. Can be created again using the same materials again. // Types of item: Clockwork Toy; Fire Starter, or Music Box.
- +2 Int, +1 Dex
- Can cast the Minor Illusion cantrip at will (p.260 in the player's handbook)... Take light notes and be familiary with this!
- Darkvision 60'
- Advantage against on all Wisdom, Intelligence, and Charisma saving throws against magic
- Speak With Small Beasts: Communicate simple ideas to smaller aniimals. Forest gnomes love animals and often keep them as pets.
