GOBLIN ENCOUNTER ON THE STREETS OF SMEDJ, then...
First finish the Goblin encounter, with
eventually to a place where Denrosa Manglorio (“Sister Manglorio”) and three armed mafia… meet with a Drow priestesses Overheard: “...We are growing tired of waiting for it, Mangloria. Tell the Sisters we are impatient for results. Our sources say your people have not even infiltrated the Palace. If we must do the work ourselves, or find another family, you will not be rewarded. Indeed it will be the opposite of reward. Needless to say then, there will be no place for your [spit] “family” in the new order. Instead, be assured, the Drow will dump your living caracasses to the pits of the Abyss. It will not be pleasant. “We need humans on the front, Mangloria. You’re in too deep to back out now. Get out, and do your work. You have until the full moon to infiltrate the Empire, after which we torture and kill your people, and find a different more capable family. Lolth will feast on your souls.” Mangloria begs: “But Stalla, but, but we have been abandoned; our family is in disarray. Let me get everything together, an extra week or two; I know we can deliver; we just need more time to organize…”.... Other beggings for supplication Mafiosa Denrosa Mangloria, “Sister Nightshade”... One level below the Three Witches (mafiosos) themselves (the witches who have abandoned the family).. It’s all fallen on her shoulders, and things are falling apart for her family. But now that the party has heard the plot, the party must do the job or be hounded forevermore by Drow assassins, and thrown to the Abyssal Pit. It’s also possible that the Manglorio party will find them on the way up and offer them some kind of contract. If the goblins are followed, the party will enter an underground lair (at a "hub" of passenges) of goblins and hobgoblins, with a bugbear or two as well. There will be a centralized goblin “hub,” like a hideout, with a stinky bunch throwing bones, one of them already killed, "High stakes, high stakes, high stakes!" - - > a gleeful chant in Goblin and also a deeper connectivity (if searched for) to the Underdark, then to the Drow….
