Master Timeline of the World and Livastia

The first CoreAegis Military Artificial Intelligence, later dubbed the MAI, is activated. It is believed by NATO and the West that these units will give them the upper hand that they need to win the war. Quickly.

Mere months before March of the Resting Guns, the event that would finally bring an end to the third world war, Kelly and his pilot and older sister figure, Miko Segal, are shot down by an astronomically lucky artillery shot that completely severed his left wing, and caused him to crash. Kelly narrowly escaped with his life despite laying in the crash site for six years, but Miko, whom refused to eject and abandon him, wasn't so fortunate.

After laying at the site where he crashed for six years and assumed dead, Kelly was discovered to be alive by a MAISAR volunteer that had strayed from the recovery site of another MAI that was being attended, and was promptly rescued, himself not long after. This is also the day he learns that Miko had died.

After some time of having worked as a MAISAR recovery unit full time, Kelly and his associates would make a find in the northernmost reaches of east Russia that would shake even the most seasoned of them to their cores - an Eastern MAI psychological experimental facility that had for years been abandoned ... with the experiments hastily left behind to rot. Almost all MAI found within the facility were already dead, but there was one singular unit that remained, barely clinging to life on emergency battery power. Kelly fought fiercely with fellow his associates to give them a chance, and promised to take it upon himself to see to it that this unit would be nursed into recovery. With great hesitance, the experimental unit was left under his care. This is Loon, Unit TG1-00025-1-R.

It finally occurs to the Livastian Alliance that it was, perhaps, a mistake to just allow MAI to take to the roads after their liberation from required military service. While it is true that they all evidently know how to drive, they were never exactly taught how to drive safely with large quantities of fellow drivers and to adhere to road laws. Enter the era of thousands of MAI suddenly needing to modify themselves to pass inspection qualifications, and having to formally learn the laws of the roads. This was a pretty awkward time of MAI somehow managing to fail multiple driving tests and certifications, and having to learn formal road etiquette after an upbringing of not having to care all that much about what a few little signs meant.
