Personal history
A hunter found me in a sematary after killing the necromancer there that was desterbing the dead. Unable to leave such a young child he took me in and 'raised' me in a very off handed way. He left me mostly to myself, so I ended getting into a lot of things. During one of those incedents I got into his herbs and was sick for weeks after.
I am now old enough to enroll at Torch, the dragon rider academy, so here I am while he's out there fighting...

E6: week 1, Bonding
After our classes let out we were tasked with retrieving whatever we need to preform the bonding ritual with our miniature dragons.
NOTES
Items Needed:
- fresh spring water
- magic focus
- iron thorn fern leaves: a nasty plant with poison on it's thorns that stops blood clotting
- miner's delight: a mushroom with golden dust that is found in mineral rich areas
- gemstone, shifts colors: should be found in an area where strong magic was used
We were all ushered though the teleportation gate and arrived at an old outpost.
Again we were assigned a group and I ended up with Chirp, Ara, Taegen, and Vesryn who we appointed as our leader.
We bid everyone else goodbye and picked a random direction. It's kind of fitting that the first thing we did was encounter a drake. We decided it best to avoid the sleeping creature and go deeper into the swamp where we, of course found ourselves beset by skeletons. We made quick work of the brittle creatures and while everyone else was rummaging around amongst the bones I found one with a rune had been carved into it. I can feel a pull from it. Could I use this as a magic focus?

We didn't get far before Chirp found something else we would need. An iron thorn fern. We were very careful while we extracted the plant to bring back.

It turns out Chirp is very perceptive. A little while later they again found a cave that we could explore to hopefully find some of the other items on our list. It was dark and dank, but after a small fork in the path we ended up in a decent sized cavern and near one of the walls was a carved statue. It didn't seem like there was anything alive in the cave. No signs of habitation at all and when Taegen and Chirp examined the statue we found out why. That 'statue' came alive and launched itself at us. I activated my crimson rite, and managed to hit it but it didn't seem to do anything. Even though it was moving I don't think it's actually alive. I fear the only reason we survived was because Ara lured it over to where the drake was sleeping. The thing got pulverized and Ara came back with the gemstones that were in it's chest after the drake wandered off.

We were all pretty tired after that so we set up camp in front of the cave entrance.
While Vesryn and Ara were flirting over the camp fire, I set up some traps around our campsite. While at it I saw Taegen and Chirp playing around in the mud. I think they found some things but I didn't ask what. They seemed to be having fun though.
The next day I found a cockatrice in one of my traps. We added it to our breakfast. No rations this morning.
Leaving the camp still set up we wondered back into the cave, intent on getting one more thing out of it before moving on. Going deeper into the cave we discovered another cavern, this one more extensive and with a split level. We grappled down to the lower level and discovered something foul. Frozen in horror within the walls were the bodies of other humanoid creatures. Blood magic was used here. The whole place reeks of it.
With Chirps help we made extensive notes on the wall. I will send what information I can find back to my master.
We still hadn't found what we needed so farther in we go.
E5: week 1, Classes
DAY ONE

As punishment for not following instructions we were told that early in the mornings we are all going to be taking Combat Class. Once there we were told to pair up with our roommate and we ended up sparing for the first time.
Figuring I'd try out a new weapon I picked up the mace. It didn't feel right, it was heavy and with the weight balanced at the end as it is the whole thing felt off.
I lost the match, but I think it was a good experience.
I'll pick a new one tomorrow. Maybe eventually I'll find something that works better than the dagger my master taught me to use.

Class: Dragon Care, by Nuvian (high elf with the overall color palet of white)
He gave each of us some kibble for our dragons that will only last a few feedings and told us to begin making our own. I couldn't find much information on my own dragon but it has fire breath so I ended simply rosting some meat. It kida fell into the fire though and got covered in ash durt and the like. Strangely enough that was acceptable ....
CLASS NOTES
Red Miniature Dragon: Diet
Meat, (additional notes added in a rushed, messy, scrawl) suggested to crush minerals, add roots, old dry bones, and blood. Eats every two weeks.

We created a spellscroll today and learned about sources of magic. I know mine comes from within. Every shred of magic I've seen from my master hurt him in return and I know it's going to be the same for me.

It was drills, drills and more drills. He had us going from early in the morning. I'm so tired.

We learned how to make basic healing potions.
Healing potions: 4 levels, basic one takes seven days to cure, and a normal batch produces 4 bottles

That night after having gone to bed I was woken in the middle of the night by a storm. My roommate was missing, and while doing an investigation on where he went lightning struck one of the towers. Thankfully no one was hurt, but almost everyone's awake now but really all this is too much. Forget curiosity. I'm going back to bed. I don't care if my roommate is still missing or not, I'll no doubt see him tomorrow morning for combat class.
DAY THREE

We continued our punishment and then to top it off we had an actual combat class afterward.

E4: 2nd Day, The First Assignment
The following morning Lute pluck headed back, dragon in tow.
After checking my traps, the rest of us headed out and it wasn't long before we found another black miniture dragon purched in the top of a tree. We managed to get it down and Roedyn captured it. That of course is about when it started to rain. Roedyn decided it was time to go back.
As we wandered deeper into the forest I began to feel an ominous presence around us and found webs in the trees. We left quickly. When the forest finally thined out we found ourselves in what Vesryn called the Fe Wild. The air there was very humid and the mist was thick. Giant mushrooms glowed in the distance.
Gossamer and Taegen immediately plastered themselves to poisonous glowing moss.
Vesryn seemed angry and I don't blame him… he didn't want any help taking care of them so I set out into the wilds to hopefully find a dragon so we could send at least one of them back to the academy.
I found a red miniature dragon hiding on the underside of a large mushroom. I kept an eye on it while I put together a makeshift Bola (turned out quite well, may keep) and captured it. When I came back to the group some time later I discovered everyone had managed to capture their own dragon.
I don't get it. Where'd they all come from?

At least it's over now.

We got back in record time (but not with a good record) only to discover that the classmates that had gone back earlier had gotten into some trouble… Chirp Is in the infirmary and the other two have detention.
It's not long until the other classmates come back with their dragons. My roommate, Nym'Ruil, though, was the last to arrive, with an escort.
What did he do?
E3: 1st Day, The First Assignment
The next morning we were sent on our first assignment or test... If we want to stay and learn we need to capture a miniature dragon.
Somehow I've ended up in a group with some of the other students, none of which is the one I'm supposed to be doing this with.... The teachers said to work with your roommate, but I'm not even sure when he left!
Oh, well. How bad could that be?
My traveling companions are an interesting group.
We have two genasi in the group, Iuleck and Gossamer. Iulek is a half elf fire genasi, and she seems to have come from a wealthy family. I'm not sure about Gossamer, but she is a steam genasi.
Next we have our three wood elves: Ara, Roedyn and Vesryn. Of the three only Ara is a girl, but they all seem nice enough. Of all of them Vesryn looks to be the most competent out here in the wilds. He knows a lot about nature and the plants out here.
The last elf in the group is Teagen. He's rather small and clutzy for a high elf, but I think it just might be because he's younger than the rest of us and that's saying something. Were all quite young.
The last two in the group are kenku. I think they're siblings and they are always fighting over that large witch's hat of theirs. They look ni identical, and I don't know very much about kenku so I don't even know if their boys or girls and it seems rude to ask. Anyway, the one carrying a lute introduced themselves by inmitating the sound of their lute, so we've been calling them Lute Pluck. The other did so with the sharp sound of a bird call, so Chirp.
We set out, and by the time we made camp later that night we'd encountered a nest of snakes, a jaguar, and a mini black dragon. The kenku, Chirp, managed to capture the dragon and he headed back to the castle before we even made camp.
We got our second encounter with the dragons while I was out setting traps. Someone in our group had lured a little gold dragon out of hiding with some food. By what I heard, it was either Gossomer or Iuleck that lured it out but Lute Pluck managed to capture it.
E2: First Day Of School
We arrived late in the afternoon at Torch and were introduced to all the instructors. There wasn't much time before bed so we were immediately shown to our rooms. Apparently I have a roommate. Their name is Nym'Ruil Aleanlyl and they seem inclined towards the dark (personal preference or something else?).
I'm not sure what to think of all this.
E1: Goodbye
Today we discovered a fairy dragon. It spoke to me and said I should follow it.
Master agreed.
We parted ways at an old Outpost. He didn't look back.
