Gossamer Ozrae (a.k.a. Somme)

Born to a fire genasi father and a water genasi mother, Gossamer grew up around superstition, enchanted objects, and folk medicine. Her supposed miracle worker parents were interested in helping the poor and never adverse to swindling the rich. She was largely left to her own devices, and took up tinkering with magical items and mechanical devices.

Family/household: Gleam (mother) water genasi: Distant and manipulative. REsents Goz. she's very beautiful and thinks goz is ugly.

Pyre (father) fire genasi: Cold and abusive. Doesn't like Goz, but pushed her to be smart and to pull her own weight.

Umber: Grandfather-fire genasi: grew kind in his old age, and Goz believed he was the only one who ever loved her

Friends: Luven Peachblossom -Young male adult elf Fenkas Firmoon - old male elf Morjeon Gaela - young male elf (all of these were customers and not true friends)

Pets: Poe, a stray cat that she would feed.

Physical Description

General Physical Condition

Gossamer seems a few inches shorter than she is, having a tendency to slouch a great deal. She's a slight build, and generally unassuming.

Body Features

She has very pale, blueish-white skin. She has pointed ears like an elf, and unusually small feet.

Facial Features

She has large eyes, but is usually squinting even through her glasses. She has a rather large, pointy nose, and a thin mouth. She has a few small scars on her face where experiments have blown up, including a cut across one of her eyebrows.

Identifying Characteristics

She has very wild, frizzy hair that is wispy and white like steam.

Physical quirks

Gossamer is a big-time sloucher. She often has her hands either in her pockets, or fiddling in front of her, anxiously.

Special abilities

When she's angry, steam will come rushing out of her ears, and sometimes if she's angry enough, her hair will also turn to steam, making her look bald.

Apparel & Accessories

In order to see, Gossamer has a pair of large spectacle glasses. Her mother blames the weak eyesight on spending too many hours tinkering by candlelight late into the night, but really it's poor genetics.
She has a kerchief she uses to tie her hair back from her face, but due to the wild nature of her hair this doesn't help much. Her left ear has 3 piercings, and her right ear only has two.
She usually prefers to wear common clothes, as she's very prone to getting her things dirty. Usually a simple blouse and durable but soft trousers, full of pockets and loops to store items. She has modified a normal belt to be a work belt, adding loops and pouches to hold more things. She also wears an old pair of worn boots that used to belong to her mother.

Gossamer was born to T'vera Raerune, a water genasi, and Kindlesoot Ozend, a fire genasi. The couple only ever found love in each other, and opened a tiny shop in the middle of Maelony, a city just outside of the High Elf capitol, Faefal.
