Fountain Room
This is the main room of the temple and one of the largest. There is a huge semi circular pool of clear blue water against the far wall, flanking a dais with a large statue standing proudly, staring down at you.
on either side of the door is a line of much smaller statues.
The floor is made up beautiful marble, that has patches of gemstone mixed in around it. The gemstone is more concentrated around the pool and the statues.
There are skeletons, and piles of bones, scattered around the room.
Purpose / Function
This room houses the elemental that the druids trapped inside the temple. It is also where the druids did their worship, rituals, and study of the creature.
Design
This room has a white marble floor, interspersed with splashes of gemstone. The pool is lined with glittering gold tiles that climb up the wall behind the large statue. The statues themselves are gemstone.
The pool of water has a series of runes etched into it, painted a bright cobalt blue that stands out against the gold tiles. More of these runes can be found scattered around the room and over the doorway. These runes are keeping the elemental trapped inside. If even one of these runes are disrupted the creature will try to escape.
Entries
There is one official entrance to the room, and that is the one connected to hallway 1, but there is a skylight above made of what looks like glass. (It is, but it's dragon-glass and cannot be broken by normal means)
Denizens
There is a water elemental sleeping in the pool. It is territorial, trapped in this room, and angry.
Hazards & Traps
There are other darker markings that have been painted over the original runes. These trap anyone stepping inside, they cannot leave until these marks have been removed.
Alterations
Someone has painted over the original blue runes found all throughout this room.
History
When the humans turned on their elven hosts they trapped them inside the fountain room of the temple with an enraged elemental that they had partially released from the spell containing it. The creature can move through the room, no longer trapped within the pool. Neither it, nor the elves that once lived here, were able to escape. It killed all the elves, then retreated to it's pool where it slumbers still.
