The Blade of Deceit
The blade of deceit is a magical longsword from the magical kingdom of Gryllanar. It has the ability to, along with acting as a normal longsword, change how beings it pierces percieve various objects, the world, or even themselves.
Origins
The Blade of Deceit was forged in the magical faction of Gryllanar. It was made of an alloy of 14 Elements, mostly metals and crystal. It was forged by a reclusive sorcerer whose name has been forgotten by history. It was submerged in a pool of lava with 7 humans' eyes and brains, and was pounded into a single bladed sword of intentional dullness, towound its victim and destroy them slowly.Ability
Whenever a living creature is sliced with the Blade of Deceit, their perception is altered based on whatever the wielder has in mind. This can effect all of their senses, and even the way they think, but only as long as it was within the user's intent. By default, the effects are permanent, but the wielder can change this to be based on time or condition if they so choose.Use
To wield the Blade of Deceit, one must first slice themself on its edge. In doing so, they accept the futility of truth, and the last curse of its previous user. Their worldview is permanently and irreparably altered according to how the last wielder saw fit, and their first action is to decide the curse of their successor. Wielders do not often live long, as the blade is a singularity, and most who know of it wish to weild it. As it does not do a lot of damage, it is common practice to carry another blade to do more damage once the victim is incapacitated. This was written when I was struggling with writer's block during Worldember. A friend gave me the suggestion of "A sword that is unmagical besides for that it makes you think you are a wizard, but plot twist is it does make you a wizard in the end."
