During the staging of the battle Shi'nril Yauntyrr split her forces into 4 groups of 625 soldiers each and positioned them at four of the 5 main tunnel gates leading into the city.

625 soldiers at the Great Rift Gate, 625 soldiers at the Glimmersea Gate, 625 soldiers at the Menzoberranzan Trail Gate, and 625 soldiers at the Fluvenilstra Gate.

The Engagement

When the battle began all four of the groups simultaneously attacked the city causing mass confusion and terror that spread through the city, the groups hunted down the city guard first desiring to eleminate the city's defenders, and crush moral, during this hunt they cut down anyone in their path.
Following the percived destruction of the city guard the next objective was to hunt down the head drow house and publicly execute them.
After the head drow house was killed the army was split into 11 groups, 5 groups of 46 stationed at each of the gates, 3 groups of 220 asigned to scour the city searching for remaining city guards or combatants, and 2 groups of 345 asigned to destroy religous shrines and temples, and execute the clergy, and one group of 319 lead by Shi'nril Yauntyrr asigned to establish a headquarters in the center of the city.
