Special abilities

In life, Julian was an exceptional doctor. In his second life, he has gained a preternatural ability to heal wounds and diseases in himself and others rapidly by expending some of his recently consumed blood energy. He can use this ability to heal deep wounds which would normally kill a normal human, as well as healing lethal injury to other dhampir. He has experience repairing physical damage from ingested and inhaled poisons, internal injuries without requiring surgery, inhaled smoke and carcinogenics, heart attacks, brain injury, and moderate cancer spread.
He cannot reverse damage from consuming dead man's blood or a dhampir who has been staked.
After using this ability, Julian requires a full meal of either whole human blood or Candidum within two hours or he will fall into torpor.

History

Cain first met Julian when Julian was working in the emergency room at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York. Cain arrived accompanying a potential employee/offspring who had been in a car wreck. Julian succeeded in saving her life, much to Cain's surprise and mild annoyance, since she decided not to accept Cain's offer of "employment."
Cain stalked Julian for a while after this, eventually deciding that he would like to get to know this man better. They became friends and later, lovers. When Julian was mugged and severely beaten in 1996, Cain arrived just in time to offer him a second life, which Julian accepted. Julian remains in Cain's employ though he has since matured out of requiring Cain's dominance in the bedroom.

Nicknames & Petnames

Cain called Julian "Jules" while they were lovers, though Julian expressed his distaste for the nickname. Cain stopped after Julian died, calling him Illya instead, as do most of Julian's family and friends.
Julian calls Cain "sire" when they're alone, even once they are no longer sleeping together. He calls him "sir" or "Cain" when in mixed company.
