The greater ghosts of Madison, Wisconsin storm the mundane populace.

When Charlie comes to visit Maddie on campus and finds her living with her boyfriend, they have a major fight which results in the awakening of every unquiet spirit in Madison. Every dormant haunting in the city erupts at once, leaving the mundane population baffled and the hunters scrambling to dispel them all.   Dex and John come in to help, bringing Hamish with them and Hamish confirms what Dex has already suspected: Maddie is a Catalyst and will require focused training to keep something like this from happening again.
