Playable Races

The matrix is broken down by bands, S to F.

• S: Special permission needed. These are problematic races--can a centaur get through dungeon doorways?--because they are very alien. I am not opposed to them per see, but I, the DM, will want to work with you extensively on the character concept and realities of a pretty different race.
• A: Acceptable races with no DM input.
• B: Ensure you tell the DM but in general, these races are fine.
• C: Special permission needed. These races are problematic because they don't have much of a basis in Faerun. Again, if this is really important to your character concept, let's talk.
• E: Special permission needed. These races border on monsters so I am not a fan in general. But an extreme exception can be made.
• F: As in fail. No, please. No monster PCs. Maybe another campaign for not for Lolth's Web.
