Demiplane
Demiplane
8th-rank - Wizard Spell: Conjuration Priest Spell: Cosmos Reality
A shimmering thread of silver-white energy traces a circle in the air adjacent to a flat, solid surface that you can see within range, humming quietly at a pleasant, singing pitch. When the circle is completed, the silver aura melts toward the center and manifests the gateway.
You can make the gateway 5 to 20 feet in diameter, and can orient the portal in any direction you choose. When opened, the gateway leads to a demiplane, an empty space up to 150 feet in each dimension that exists outside the Material Plane, or any other planar destination. The boundaries of the space feel solid, but they are made of a solidified inky black darkness that cannot be illuminated. Within the dimensions of the demiplane, light functions as normal.
When the spell ends, the door disappears, and any creatures or objects inside the demiplane remain trapped there, as the gateway also disappears from the other side. The only planar connection to and from the demiplane other than your gateway is the Astral Plane.
Each time you cast this spell, you can create a new demiplane, or have the portal connect to a demiplane you created with a previous casting of this spell. Additionally, if you know the nature and contents of a demiplane created by a casting of this spell by another creature, you can have the gateway connect to its demiplane instead.
