Plague / Epidemic
The newly formed party of Gle'n, Hex, Kai, Khev, Mak, and Snell answered a quest post about a pest control problem; a den of giant poisonous snakes had gotten into magic coffee. What they discovered was a Yuan-Ti transformed into a monstrous Malison. When they brought her to the Temple of Trickery for aid they inadvertently answered another quest post -- to capture the Abomination that made the Malison.
Gle'n, Hex, Kai, Khev, Mak, and Snell grabbed several quest posts off the board that seemed up their alley. One was an urgent request to clear a den of giant poisonous snakes from a Baldur's Beanery location downtown. Bet. The poster; Don Gunther, the day shift manager, showed the party how the snakes had come up through a hole in the floor. When he evacuated everyone inside the snakes got into some of their magically charged coffee. And a Yuan-Ti barista was bitten and left inside. The party entered and got to work killing snakes, but Gle'n took a liking to the snake that had drunk the coffee that makes you fly. He tied it up with rope and decided to keep it. One of the snakes suddenly revealed itself to be more than it seemed. It transformed into the Yuan-Ti barista -- only her arms both ended as snakes. She was intent on attacking the party, so they defeated her too. Off Don's suggestion, they took her to the Temple of Trickery which specializes in shapeshifting. They meet Sonna, a tiefling Trickerry Acolyte who had posted another quest the party pulled. She was covering for her boss in his admittedly fashist domain. There was an accident, and a Yuan-Ti test subject was turned into an Abomination and escaped into the undercroft. She needs the party to recover it. If it escaped into the city it's possible it infected this young woman and turned her into a Malison. The party investigates the undercroft, finding a large amount of shredded snake skin and some Myconids weary of them. Calming the living plants, they followed the Abomination's trail all the way to an exit out into the Antiquity canals. It was out there somewhere...
