Mak moved into a cooler jug on Hex's counter. They spent the next couple of days going out on the town together, making new friends like Greg Black, Luneth Galanodel, and Meztli Meek.

Mak had no home after the storm. He had been making due but Hex offered to give him a place to stay. He lived in Gladiator Apartments, in a half-basement that had originally been designed as a cell. Still they made due. Mak found a potion cooler jug with a dispenser tap he could sleep in.   Hex befriended his neighbor Greg Black, a half-orc in search of community and belonging.   Mak went to the Bog Bottom Bath House and caught Meztli Meek, a Yuan-Ti pickpocket. They had a laugh of it, competing in pickpocketing and becoming fast friends at the Dive Bar.   Hex visited Scum Bum Ink interested in getting a tattoo and met Luneth Galanodel, the pallid elf fixing the front glass. As he mentioned his interest in an old romance novel about a revenant in love forced to burn eternal he caught her ears. She was secretly a great fan of such books and met him outside later to talk at length about them.
