Founding

Gle'n and Kai go into business together, founding the Tort & Hare Dojo and renting space in the Strip Mall, right next door to the Redbands.

Kai had just moved to Antiquity to start a dojo of his own in a new town. He was originally from an old world temple, but he stole secrets and took them with him to the new world. His mentor in Opulence thought he could stay with a cousin in town but those plans quickly fell through, so he began crashing on the couch in Gle'n's divorce apartment.   Kai agreed to help with the rent since Gle'n was still responsible for his ex-wife Lucille's home. Their marriage recently fell apart after 200 years due to some complex and long-gestating emotional issues, then he left his job as the weatherman and was replaced by the guy his wife started sleeping with next. A Vedalken named Dollus Rains who managed to get in an hour of nice weather most days.   In return, Gle'n agreed to help Kai rent the space available in the strip mall to found his dojo. They named it Tort & Hare, and as they signed the final paperwork they realized who they were renting the space from; Crimson Masters. The big boss of the Redbands.
