Dean

Clerics who prove themselves might lead their own churches. Those who do are called deans. The bishop who oversees the region makes the appointment, usually for political reasons. Ambitious clerics might petition the bishop for the post, but their petitions can be rejected for any reason. Once elevated to the position, deans oversee all the goings-on of their churches, issuing assignments to all the clergy serving them.
