Meigan-Rue
Just across the border of Vespmar and into Mercercle lies the village of Meigan-Rue. The villagers mostly worship the goddess Rontra and are one of the few settlements to have no Great Church presence. The name of the village is "street of pearl" in Ducercle, and much of its wealth is tied to the precious metals and gems sourced from the nearby mine. Besides the miners, the main jobs in the village belong to the farmers and hunters. There are few true businesses in Meigan-Rue, and only one boarding house that the farm-hands, miners, and other workers of the village stay in as the farm houses are normally too small to comfortably house both the family and their help.
Like most towns and villages of Mercercle, the village is controlled by a representative of one of the major houses. In this case House Saulerue controls the village, with the mayor of the village being halfling Trent Dover (they/them).
The knoll is where most of the village gets their drinking water, fishes, washes their clothes, and disposes of waste. During the wintertime the river can become clogged with ice and slush, and there is normally a child from the village employed to break up the ice and keep the water flowing. The cattle and sheep from the nearby farms are also brought here to drink most of the time (though other times the farmers will have the water brought to great drinking troughs in the barnyard to avoid taking their animals down to the river's edge). Brokkr Mine
Run by Váli Brokkr, much of the village's wealth is directly tied to the mine and it's output. Váli is not an evil man, but he is harsh and business like - his employees are not his family nor does he treat them as such. But he does keep a healer (a human man named Lincoln Beckett, who worships Shalimyr but is not a cleric) on site. Váli is a dwarf of about 200 years. The Street of Pearl
Meigan-Rue is, essentially, a street with a collection of buildings on either side for about 5000 feet. There are side streets but they dwindle into the foothills very quickly and there is not much to speak of besides the main street, sometimes called "the street of pearl." Most, however, would simply call it "the village proper."

Places in Meigan-Rue:
By-the-rivers-edge Knoll- Farrow's Dock (just a dock - there are some boats, but everyone who wants to use the dock must pay Muriel Farrow, the handling proprietor, 2 silver to rent their dock space, per day. You can also fish off the dock, but Muriel won't tolerate loiterers)
- The Cascades (a small bit of rapids that are considered the most beautiful area of the town)
- Marlowe Ford (to the north, the river grows still and shallow and can be forded on foot, though there is a goblin ferryman by the name of Trinket who will take any small, interesting items as payment)
- The mine proper
- Brokkr's offices
- The medical tent
- Shipment services
- The Waverly Boarding House (always filled to the brim, the boarding house offers options for both short term and long term stay. Originally run by a husband and wife duo, the husband ran off with a girl from a traveling circus and the wife left to join the White Hands, leaving their sullen faced half-elf daughter, Shannon Waverly, to run the establishment on her own - she speaks like the character Daria and has no tolerance for foolishness in her boarding house)
- Grandmother's Embrace - (foundation of Rontra)
- The mayor's home
- Pearly Treasures Trading Post (a rudimentary general store - only the most basic supplies can be found here and it is highly unlikely anything can be sold to the shopkeep: a grizzled dwarven man who massively overcharges for supplies)
