Porcelain Coral Mushroom

A delicious but deceptive little fungus.

This mushroom looks like its made out of porcelain, but it definitely is not made out of it. It is deceptively squishy and wonderful to eat. It reminds me of the common oyster mushroom. This particular mushroom goes really great in stews and soups. One of my favourite types of soup made with this mushroom is good old mushroom soup. This mushroom is often found near water either in underwater caves or along the bramble and bushes of lake shores.
