The Underground Stage

This article will be expanded upon in the future
The Underground Stage is the musical heartbeat of this city. Here music takes the center stage, bringing us all together, no matter where you come from. It's a place to share our music - our passion. Leave the world and its problems outside, and just embrace the joy of music for a night. Remind yourself that no matter how dark things might seem, music can always be a beacon of joy.
Politics & Social Impact
The Underground Stage tries to focus on the music, not the politics and opinions often contained within them. They don't ban politically charged musicians or songs, but always try to provide a diverse lineup for an evening. Performers and patrons alike are asked to respect differing opinions, and be inclusive and respectful of different views. Disrespecting somebody, or even verbally or physically attacking a performer or another patron, is the quickest way to get banned from the Underground Stage for life. Because of this stance, the Underground Stage has become a melting pot of different cultures and ideas, and is one of the few places where people of all walks of life and widely differing opinions come together to enjoy music. Still, it also has been the origin of many rebellious viewpoints, sometimes even getting into the crossfire of the city council.Architecture
A small staircase next to an old warehouse leads to the Underground Stage in the basement. Only a small sign and the music coming from within give any indication of what lies down there. The vaulted cellar itself is illuminated by floating orbs and luminescent plants, casting a warm ethereal glow and giving the entire room an inviting and cozy atmosphere. The first room of the Underground Stage is the bar area with wooden furniture and a rustic charm. Patrons gather around the bar, or in small nooks along the walls to enjoy casual conversation and drinks. Every musician who has ever performed at the venue left their signature on the bar itself. Once the space on the bar ran out, signatures expanded across the walls, showing how many musicians played here. Heading down a few stairs at the other side of the room brings you to the performance area. A small stage is built into the wall on the opposite side, and the audience area is packed with mismatched chairs and standing room, accommodating a diverse group of people. The bar area from above extends onto a balcony, giving patrons the option to watch a performance from there as well. To focus on the musical performance, the magical lights illuminating this area dim the moment a musician starts playing, drawing all the attention to the stage. This further enhances the vibrant and energetic feeling of the Underground Stage. If you enjoy what I'm doing consider giving this a like, and let me know what you think about this article in the comments.
