Physical Description

General Physical Condition

Is notably thin, making him seem taller than he actually is. Is in good physical condition due to active and healthy lifestyle. Is noticeably nimble, possably due to elven genetics, and has good dexterity.

Facial Features

Has longer, tapered but humanesque ears. Large, wide and angled eyes that are oddly coloured. His eye brows are fine and black. He has pronounced cheek bones and an angular jaw, making him rather effeminate. He has tried to grow facial hair as it is part of the culture in Wienkauf but can only manage a thin mustache and slight sideburns, neither of which he wishes to sport. Making him look somewhat girly with his pale skin and fair features.

Apparel & Accessories

Wears the foppish Amistad fashion of the upper class, including pants that are tight near the top and flair out wildly near the bottoms. Tall, heeled boots enhance his hight slightly and announce his presence with clacks when he walks. He wears a tight waistcoat that highlights his narrow build and a frilled cravat around his neck with a royal brooch. His arms have the puffy shirt with wide, frilled sleaves and gloves where appropriate. He also carries fold in binoculars for viewing spectacles, a funny hat with a long, red plume and a red cloth tie for his ponytail.

Specialized Equipment

Wears a rubied ring that has his house's crest on it and can be used to seal wax envelopes. Carries a castle forged slender sword of Elven origin. Carries a bandolier of vials with various concoctions in them, typically three vials of alchemist fire (explode on impact and coats target in burning liquid) and three of acid.

Personal history

The product of a liaison between the widowed Duchess of Amistad and an elven noble after her husband perished in battle. A situation complicated further when he returned some time later, not quite as dead as believed. After an easy pregnancy but complicated child birth, he was bourne with a twin sister. Both were strange, even by half elf standards (wherever such were to exist), with miss matched eyes, eerily pale skin, and odd hair colours. They were raised within the family and even got more traditional siblings over time, though were excluded from the succession. His sister was beloved by the aristocracy, as she was an amiable and charismatic person, as well as exotic with her shock white hair and elven glow. Raziel was more human in appearance, but not by much, and a more caustic person.
Things were fine growing up in relative seclusion, although the sideways glances and curious questions followed them all their lives. Knowing he had no future in the castle, Raziel took off whenever he could and found a love of music and literature. Commiting many peices and stories to memory, he began to yearn for his own adventure, as well as wishing to validate his position in society. Demonstrating cleverness in scholastics, he began apprenticing with the Alchemist's Guild. There he learned the fine art and science of mixology, and mysteries of dragon powder. Skills that came in great use when he heard of the Barron's call to action, and took off to Wienkauf.

Gender Identity

Is a bit of a dandy, dressing in the fabulous Amistad fashion that combined with his elven influence, makes him appear rather effeminate. Or at least androgynous.

Education

Received a formal education in the house of Amistad and apprenticed as an Alchemist.

Employment

Apprenticed as an alchemist for a short while before answering the Barron's call for adventurers.

Failures & Embarrassments

While not his fault, he was stigmatized by the upper class due to his status and excluded from the royal line.

Mental Trauma

Has a slight inferiority complex due to his ostracized upbringing and being outshined by his sister. Developed a significant entomophobia after a traumatizing incident in youth involving getting trapped in a cellar and covered in bugs.

Intellectual Characteristics

Is quick witted, enough to be an alchemist anyways. He is learned, memorizing volumes of lore, poems and history in spare time. Possesses an artists soul, being musically inclined and good with a pen.

Morality & Philosophy

Is big on Existentialism, which he believes is misunderstood. Authenticity matters most, and that it is important to understand the world for what it is, not what we want it to be.

Motivation

Simply wishes to become exalted among men. Why bounces between an artistic desire to live up to the legends of poem, song, and story and a selfish desire to win an Iron Cross to gain emotional validation from the aristocracy and legitimize his claim to his house.

Can play the piano, lute, and horn. A decent archer. Good at mixing components for various effects. Proficient in fencing. Not that good at long term planning.

Has a twin sister, which is older is unknown. He low key resents the attention she recieved growing up do to her more charismatic nature and slightly keener inteligence and wisdom. She adores him though, making him even more bitter.

Is a great fast talker, can spin a tale, be persuasive, do some good disguises and has a strong poker face. These are traits picked up as a performer and developed a youth spent with a lot of attention on him. As such he has a tendency to keep his motives and goals to himself.
