City Hall of Lucem

You could say it's the brain of our nation. Housing The Council and The Council's Guild the major topics are researched, discussed and decided on here. Left to us by the Senemi the hall is an inspiration in itself as we don't have the capabilities to build a comparable monumental building.

Purpose / Function

The vast amount of floors, halls and rooms offer enough space for all kinds of tasks.
In the upper parts the private quarters of The Council are set. Most meetings are held down in the public halls, but here they research, hold conversations and train. Except those who are called to be a Conrus only the most venerable masks have seen parts of their facilities for consultation or teaching.

Below are the quarters of the The Council's Guild followed up by their numerous workshops, training grounds, laboratories, libraries and storagehalls. This place condenses the finest materials, techniques and wisdom.

The lower parts, including the main city hall at the bottom offer room for guests and debate of public matters. Presentations, meetings of guilds and festivities take place here. It's a major cultural anchorpoint of our nation.

Concerning it's earlier use we haven't come to a conclusion. Being built in the delta of Magunt, the major river of Edi, and counting the sparse remaints of other buildings along the coast connected to the hall it might have been a haven of the Senemi. What's puzzling that it's architectured rather as a fortress than logistical centre. So it could've been a defense structure too, maybe both.

I have the suspicion that there's way more to this structure than we think. For long the stone of Senemi was inpenetratable. I'm happy that it was never tried to destroy this fantastic building or use it's materials for other purposes. But my curiosity grows due to the underground complexes of the Senemi and I suspect another one below the city hall. Depictions and carving on the ground of the main hall could indicate an entrance.
