The Chrystalid are a race of visionary Celestials who claim to pull their magic from the sun & stars. Previously, the Chrystalid worshipped Illia & Varga - but now that they have arrived on Earth, worship Sol. Capable of incredible insight into the metaphysical workings of the universe & harnessing great magical power, the Chrystalid have long memories, immense willpower & an insatiable lust for knowledge of the universe.Constrained by their Patronage
As Celestials Chrystalid have their strengths & capabilities tied to the ebb & flow of their individual patronages. With the Lucidus being tied to the sun, and the Adstrum tied to the stars, the rise & fall of the days do not affect them so much as the visibility of their patrons. In their arrival on earth, the Adstrum have grown much more common, their force of their Patron's influence having grown greatly in the wake of their arrival.Basic Information

The Chrystalid are categorized into two specific biological sub-groups, but otherwise are split into standard male & female genders - almost identical in their differentiation to Human Kind:
- Lucidus - Correlated with the sun, are typically slightly more muscular & tall than their Adstrum kin.
- Adstrum - Correlated with the stars, are typically more slight & have marginally longer lived lives than their Lucidus kin.
Genetics and Reproduction
The Chrystalid reproduce through a process of sexual intercourse & psychointercourse.
- Both parties experience sense-synergy.
- Intercourse with a Chrystalid has a 15% pregnancy rate.
- The resulting offspring will be Chrystalid 35% of the time and other races 65% of the time.
Growth Rate & Stages
Chrystalid take approximately sixteen years from the date of their birth to reach adulthood - this period varies based on a single factor;

Ecology and Habitats
The Chrystalid are easily capable of maintaining themselves in almost any environment, save for when completely devoid of all influence of their Patron.
So long as somewhere, someplace on the same worldly plane as them, a star or sun is shining, they are capable of maintaining their shape, regardless of environment.
Typically, Chrystalid will prefer their homes to have some kind of skylight, or, preferably an Eternal Window that will allow them to have their patron's presence there at all times.
Dietary Needs and Habits
The Chrystalid have no need for any dietary intake, instead they convert energy from their patron in a process not dissimilar to photosynthesis.
Once per day a Chrystalid must enter a meditative state under the light of their respective patron as Lucidus or Adstrum. This meditative process provides all the necessary energy for sustaining life in a short 20 minute meditation under direct exposure to the sun or stars.

Social Structure
The Chrystalid naturally favor magical capability, and the stronger any individual's Willpower, the more respect they will earn within the Chrystalid social hierarchy. By nature, the Chrystalid race has been largely dominated by the much more prominent Adstrum sect of their society, a fact that is radically changing and has lead to a social upset by the emerging Lucidus influence.

The Chrystalid feature stark black eyes & an assortment of naturally occurring black, red & white facial markings.
Average Intelligence
The Chrystalid are above average intelligence, but display exceptional understanding of the complexities of magic when performing Werking or Rituals.
Perception and Sensory Capabilities
The Chrystalid are capable of perceiving a soul of the same level of Ascension as themselves, as well as visualize the movement of even minute energies within their sightline, provided they are not shrouded by Mysterium.

Naming Traditions
The Chrystalid follow a Last Name - First Name naming convention.
Major Organizations
The Chrystalid are represented by The Court of Illia & serve an important role within the court, often as Oracles or Speakers for their purposes. Most Chrystalid support the court without question.
A cultist sect of the Chrystalid known as The Visionaries believe that to understand all, they must eat the stars - the known members of this cult are exiled from Chrystalid society & castes.
Beauty Ideals
The Chrystalid believe that beauty resides in the soul and make no differentiation based off physical appearance, but instead will individually judge the beauty of an individual's soul.
Gender Ideals
The Chrystalid do not follow any specific gender ideals, as all Chrystalid are driven by their hunger for knowledge & magical power.
Courtship Ideals
The Chystalid believe in expressing the beauty of one's soul to earn the affection of any other. Full of Willpower, the Chrystalid will use magic to enhance most of their courtship, and regularly use Rituals as a form of showmanship to earn the interest of their counterpart. Chrystalid courtship may take many forms, including but not limited to:
- Romantic/affectionate/sexual acts of Ritual
- Song, prose & written word, often enhanced with Werking.
- Acts of service, usually in matters of education or magic.
Relationship Ideals
The Chrystalid do not believe in long-lived or committed relationships beyond Guardianship. Like the sun & stars, the Chrystalid believe that relationships, life & all things are transitory, always changing & shifting - and that to fight that change is to fight against the forces of the universe.
To this end, Chrystalid will rarely enter into Bonds of romance or affection, believing that if they are to be, they will be. If a Chrystalid is unhappy or loses passion for a relationship, they will often move on with little concern.
Common Etiquette Rules
The Chrystalid believe in written introductions - and will always make the utmost effort to trade their written name with anyone the first time they are introduced. This can take a multitude of forms:
- Magical signature
- Business card
- Handwritten note
- A name scrawled in blood across the forehead
Common Dress Code
The Chrystalid are notoriously liberal in their dress code - preferring loose, thin, often sheer fabric. Focused on the Soul of themselves & any other person, the Chrystalid firmly believe that by wearing heavy, thick clothing, you are suffocating yourself & taking away your way of communing with the world & powers around yourself.
In the mind of a Chrystalid, being heavily dressed may as well be putting a blindfold on yourself; taking away a vital sense.
The Visionaries do not follow the same dress code, and instead prefer to clothe themselves heavily and veil their faces to hide from the stars.
Common Taboos
The Chrystalid will never take the life of another of the same race; believing that to do so may as well be killing a part of themselves.
Notably; they are perfectly fine with others doing it for them.
