Born from the union of a Dragon and a Humanoid, the Half-Dragon walk proudly among the world, revered in many areas and unwelcome in others. A type of Dragonkin, Half-Dragons are seen to be threats to any civilization and are rarely found in societies of other races. This being said, it is not impossible to find Half-Dragons living in multicultural cities across the planes. Due to the distrust of most peoples, on account that some believe them to be dragons in disguise, many Half-Dragons are outcasts who focus heavily on growing powerful enough to fend off crazed mobs. They tend to focus on their martial skills or understanding of the natural and arcane magics of the world. Half-Dragons sport large wings and long tails given to them by their Dragon creators, as well as chromatic scales to match.

Features

Ability Score Increase: Your Dexterity and Strength score increase by 1.
Size: Your size is medium.
Dragon-like Features: These Draconic features give you the ability to move quicker and take to the skies. You have a flying speed of 20 feet. Your wings give you the ability to take off from the ground, given that you have at least 10 feet by 5 feet of space to stretch out your wings. When flying down your speed increases to 30 feet and when flying upwards it decreases to 10 feet.
Draconic Ancestry: Your scales are based on the circumstances of your birth. Chose the scales that best represent the features of your parents from the table below.

Damage Resistance: You have resistance to the damage type associated with your dragon ancestry.
Natural Adaptation: Once you reach 3rd level, you can cast the Alter Self spell as a 2nd-level spell to use Change Appearance once, no concentration required, and regain the ability to cast this way when you finish a long rest. Charisma is your spellcasting ability for this spell.

Biological Traits

Half-Dragons grow to adulthood around the age of 12-15 and by then have already left their homes and begin to gather their skills. Due to the magical bloodlines, given to them by the Dragons who created them, Half-Dragons live close to the end of their second century.

Geographic Origin and Distribution

Half-Dragons can be found anywhere across Luder'ae. They usually are found in larger cities where no single race makes up the majority of society. They can also be found adventuring across the world or living in other Dragonkin societies.

Gender Ideals

Gender is only temporary in Half-Dragons, as just like their dragon ancestors, they can change genders overtime being reshaped by the Magical Weave and their own magical blood. Female Half-Dragons are able to reproduce with another humanoids; the result always being a Half-Dragon, however, males often are drawn toward Dracator societies. Here they can find mates in Dracator females should they gain the trust and love of their peoples, however still resulting in the inception of only Half-Dragons. Therefore, gender in Half-Dragons is only seen as important in the case of reproduction and mating with other gender binary races.
